This exciting and engaging Level 1 book of the “Let’s Read and Find Out” series will help youngsters learn about features of the sun and the moon. Entertaining and educational at the same time, including experiments you can do at home like making moon ice! This book has bright, engaging illustrations and encourages readers to be curious about the world around them. Readers get to imagine what it might be like to take a trip to the sun and moon. Throughout the book, readers are encouraged to be explorers; to make observations and think about what could happen on their journey. One thing that I really liked about this book is that it teaches readers that the moon can be seen at different times of day, not only at night. Also, the moon can be seen in many different shapes, or stages. I like this because a lot of children's illustrated books show the moon only at night, and usually in the shape of a crescent. This is a fun and educational book for kids, and adults. I think this book would be a great story to read when introducing science inquiry; student will remember to make observations and hypotheses. This would also be a great book to read when tracking the location of the moon. This is a neat introductory book to sun and moon phases for very young children. It asks questions before giving answers so it prompts some thinking while reading, but again, it has too many spelling and grammar errors that I wouldn't want a student reading it and being affirmed of common mistakes made in writing. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
