I have to say that I do not really like Allen Poe's stories though some people do like him very much. He lacked good ideas which can contribute a unusual horrible world. Just like his other books that I have read, there are just normal murder and boring strange hobbies in this book. The only reason for his great reputation I think it is just because he was the first one who wrote this kind of story. This book is ok,but can hardly be called good. ( ) This book is a horrible one again. This one included four short stories,"THE BLACK CAT", "THE OVAL PORTRAIT", "BERENICE" and "THE MASK OF THE RED DEATH". These stories were make me cannot fall asleep all the night after I read them and I even cannot forget them. The pain and horror are stronger than any book I have read before. If you like horrible story, you can read this one, it will make you exciting. This book consists of four short stories about murder. All of them are horrible.Mad men go wrong in these stories. After you read this book, you will be afraid of seeing a black cat! It is an interesting book for me.It describes a dark aspect of human beings. And it is easy to read.I want to read another books written by Poe. I was impressed by "The mask of the Red Death" most strongly. It was a story of a disease but it was not a true story. There was terrible disease in a land. It infected and killed people very quickly. A rich man shut the way to his big house from the town and isolated himself and his friends from the lillness. But one day, a starange man with a mask and in black clothes came to a party in the house. He was the disease! geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
