This 'My First Reader' book is a good choice for young children because it is a repeated pattern book and involves something a child may encounter. For example, the first half of the book is of the mother and baby bear at the grocery story buying food and the mother asking what the bear would like to eat; "Little Bear, Little Bear, would you eat tomatoes?/ Little Bear, Little Bear, would you eat some cheese?". The second half is of Little Bear denying all the food placed in front of him; "I will not eat potatoes!/ I will not eat peas!". Finally, he chooses honey for his meal/snack. Also, the language is kept the same throughout the entire book. For example, the wording for the cheese portion of the book is "some cheese," and the author did not switch from 'some cheese' to 'cheese.' This adds to the repetition factor which is vital for young children. ( ) geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe

When it comes to eating, Little Bear definitely prefers honey to potatoes, peas, tomatoes, or cheese. Geen bibliotheekbeschrijvingen gevonden. |
