Wow A Love Letter to Whiskey is a book that still hurts my heart after all these years. The first time I read it, I knew that it had changed a part of the template of who I was. Five years later, and that it still true. It hurt then but in a beautiful way. I had a love hate relationship with the ending. It was perfect even though I wanted more of the future. I never thought I'd get it and had to rely on my imagination as to what the future held for these amazing characters. This anniversary edition was so very much appreciated. It made the book even better getting to see things from Jamie's perspective. It also gave me the future that I had wanted. This is angst at its best and forever in my all-time favorite book vault. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
"It's crazy how fast the buzz comes back after you've been sober for so long. Whiskey stood there, on my doorstep, just like he had one year before. Except this time there was no rain, no anger, no wedding invitation. It was just us. It was just him, the old friend, the easy smile, the twisted solace wrapped in a glittering bottle. It was just me, the alcoholic, pretending like I didn't want to taste him, realizing how quickly that months of being clean didn't make me crave him any less"--Provided by publisher. Yes that was one hell of a ride. I have been there and been addicted to Whiskey, and I married him too but unfortunately my addiction was the worst thing that could've ever happened to me. Buy I lived through it, and ended up marrying my soulmate. I believe I had to go down the road I went down and ordered to be where I am today. What an AWESOME book Kandi. I can't wait to read your next book. ( )
