It is one of a series which aims to present the lives of key famous people through history in simple yet informative biographies. It covers all three study areas for KS1. The book is designed to encourage children to read and construct stories of the past; to expand vocabulary through description of people, places and events; and to teach children the stories behind parts of our heritage, including the words we use.
