Tim Shaw is an inspiration. Fighting his way every step of the way and striving to uplift the world around him, despite being handed such tough setback as ALS, is quite a thing to admire. BLITZ YOUR LIFE is Tim Shaw's story. More than just his story, Tim writes about how to find out how a person wants to live their life and once found, how living out what they have found enriches the world around them.
I always find it more interesting to read about the professional athlete who is more of the everyman within his given sport in relative terms. Yes, Tim Shaw was in the NFL, but he worked hard and struggled to be there year in and year out. He never had the job security of a star in the league. Shaw writes about his NFL career with a certain honesty and reverence, knowing that not many people every get that chance to get to where he was. Shaw uses examples of people who have challenged him to be better person to show how being successful in life is more than just money or status; its finding happiness in doing what you want (teach, make others happy, educate, etc). Shaw spends a lot of time talking about how the reader can break themselves down to the core of what they want, then each chapter delves into a step towards creating complete picture of what that person wants (whatever that is) and how to get there.
Tim Shaw could inspire anyone. I laughed at times and fought back a tear or two as I read BLITZ YOUR LIFE. A book I will remember and be inspired by for a long time to come.
Thank you to JKS Communications, Tim Shaw, and Netgalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review! ( )
