I'm voluntarily reviewing a free advance reader copy I received from the author. I am continuing to absolutely love this series. Despite feeling like I should have been more annoyed with and disliked Coop for his secretive behavior, I actually found myself enamored with String Cheese. I loved the idea of a G-Rated gigolo. Despite Kelvin and his HORRIBLE job, Coop was able to stick to his principles regarding no hook ups. I loved what he did for the girl who needed support and confidence. Of course, that all goes downhill as he struggles with money issues. He decides to take Kelvin's horrible job of distracting Matty while trying to study so that he doesn't get as good grades. Coop spends time with Matty and finds himself enjoying his company and eventually falling for him. I was worried at how much angst was going to occur, because you knew it was going to be ugly when Matty found out the truth. Luckily, while it stretched over weeks, it didn't take that many pages, and we didn't have to read pages and pages of sadness. I loved the resolution at the end, and Coop's big romantic gesture. I'd love to see more of these guys, and all the rest from the series, down the road. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe

"For the night, I am yours..." Meet Coop: Formal date. Wingman. Friend. Mystery man. He calls himself the G-rated Gigolo of Browerton. He could be anyone you wanted him to be . . . for a price. One night, his services are called upon for a unique assignment: distract a computer science nerd whose strong grades are killing the class curve. All Coop has to do is get the guy away from his books, save the curve, and collect the biggest payday of his G-rated Gigolo career. Should be easy enough, right? Matty has no interest in making friends or any cherished college memories that don't involve the Dean's list. Growing up, he withstood years of relentless bullying and loneliness to graduate from high school as valedictorian. His tough shell helps him excel at Browerton, bringing him one step closer to his dream internship in robotic engineering-even if he has to do it solo. When Coop stumbles into his life, he slowly breaks down the walls that Matty keeps concreted in stone. Sparks fly and quickly blossom into something deeper, but how long can their relationship last before the truth comes out? Contains mature themes. Geen bibliotheekbeschrijvingen gevonden. |

Coop, who was known as String Cheese at high school, transformed his body and "outed" his personality, when he began college life, at Browerton.
Kelvin asks Coop to distract an A student, Matty. This ploy is to help Kelvin rise on the "curve" in the robotics class. Coop, of course, is very good at this task, taking Matty to a party and generally charming his nerdy target.
But it turns out that the String Cheese who lives under the attractive surface of Coop identifies with and admires Matty. The friendship and love story that follow brings pure joy to each of them. But you can see what's coming.
Matty and his friends meet once a week to play The Settlers of Catan - haven't heard of this game but I'd love to play it.
"Out for the night" is the chorus line of the rap song that Evan Cooper sings to win Matty back. It's a great song AJ Truman! Well done!
Narrator Alexander Cendese was born to bring Coop to life. ( )
