Big blond wig. Do-me shoes. A bra that could serve as a floatation device. She's about to take her genius IQ for a walk on the bimbo side. Someone's pilfering company secrets at Just Peachy, a giant cosmetics firm owned by hunky Steve Smith. When he decides to do some undercover security in disguise as "Stephanie" Smith, his sister Leah, a sociologist working on her doctorate, grabs her own undercover opportunity to prove her theory that nerds stand no chance in the world. She interviews for a low-level security job first as "Leah the super-nerd" then as "Candi Devereaux," a stereotypical out-to-there bimbo. To her shock, security specialist Mark Colson hires both of her. Mark isn't fooled--Leah/Candi are obviously the same woman, a suspicious character, and quite likely the corporate thief. He'll stay very close to her. As for Leah, the highly unsettling and extremely irresistible Mr. Colson begins to rattle all her assumptions about what a man wants from a woman. It's about honesty . . . unfortunately. In the meantime, "Stephanie" has met his match in corporate rival Kate Bloom, who is determined to best the smart new woman in the company. And yet, Kate feels flustered by Stephanie's strangely masculine appeal . . .… (meer)

I was not sure I would like this book when I picked it up but I thought I should at least give it a fair shake it seemed funny. I am very glad I did give it a fair shake the book was hilarious. Now while some of the events taking place were a bit unbelievable the story itself was still fun. Following the love and business of a family and their friends and the relationships they build is a great ride.

If you’re looking for a fun quick read this book will do that for you. It is a fun light and airy chic lit book and Trish Jensen does a great job. This one actually had me wishing that there was another one to find out what happens with Mark and Leah, and Gramps and all the other fun little characters you meet in this book. To be sure it is not a book that is full of tons of thinking and plot twists, it is just good fun.

From BackCover:
BUSTING OUT

Who fares better in the workplace: the brassy bimbo or the plain Jane? Do blondes really have more fun? For her doctoral dissertation, sociologist—and lifelong nerd—Leah Smith intended to find out. Trading in her mousy brown hair and flat chest for bleached locks and gravity-defying cleavage, she planned a little experiment. And mile-high stilettos, a pump-up bra, and one very sexy—and very suspicious—company man weren’t going to trip her up.

Security specialist Mark Colson had been hired to ferret out corporate spies, and the newest employee at Just Peachy Cosmetics was Suspect #1—posing as two different women, she was a total fake. Well, ditz or scholar, blonde or brunette, well-endowed or not, he would expose her. Except, she managed to stay one step ahead . . . until Mark realized to catch the brainy bombshell he’d have to reveal a few secrets of his own.

To Kate Seaver, an extraordinary editor, because she has to be a saint for putting up with me, and because she's a genius. Did I mention she's a saint?
And to Leah Hultenschmidt for allowing me to steal her name and make her a bimbo when she's actually a very smart cookie. Dorchester rocks
And to my nephew Phillip, who had the nerve to grow up. When you were one week old you slept on my chest. If you did that right now, I'd suffocate in a minute. the future is yours. And I don't doubt for a second that you're going to achieve all of your dreams. I can't wait to watch you.
