This book is appropriate for 3rd-5th grade. This is a re-telling of the Beauty of the Beast story but in the style of a graphic novel. I thought this was a creative way to tell this classic story. I would use this in my classroom for a fun read, I probably wouldn't use it in a specific unit. ( )

I think they made it to fit the manga stories and manga readers. After this, I would love to read more manga versions of Disney stories. ( )

What a beautifully vibrant graphic novel! This full-color version has now become a must-buy for me.

The story from Beast's side was executed much better than Belle's tale, in my opinion. It didn't feel as disjointed, the scenes flowed through the story nicely. POV changes are always refreshing and while this does follow the live-action film, I found Beast's side more intriguing.

I definitely recommend checking out both Belle's and Beast's stories!

This story shows parts about the Beast/Prince that I didn't know before (issues with his parents and such). The reader is able to know what he's thinking in different situations. Getting inside his head gives him so much more personality than in all of the B&TB tales I've seen before. I liked witnessing his interactions with the enchanted help. The action sequences really caught my attention, and I loved the cute little chapter break drawings. I've been wanting to watch the new movie, and knowing this manga comics are based upon it makes more excited to see it.
