The main one is the setting. This book takes place in what is described as the outskirts of Ottawa. At the same time, Amalia's wine shop is described as the only restaurant in the town. That made little sense for the edge of a major city. There's also a complicated system of canals and trails that plays heavily into this book. I would liked to have had more description of this, as I'm not familiar with it, and it sounded interesting. Finally, I found the relationship between Amalia and the rival pizzeria owner to be rather unbelievable. I have to admit, once I picked it up, I didn’t set it back down. I loved the characters; they were very relatable and approachable. It was a believable mystery and it easily swayed the pendulum from humor to suspense. I will be eagerly reading her next mystery as soon as it comes out!
