While I enjoy Stuart Woods books this one I was disappointed in the ending. Of course that won't stop me from reading the next one! ( )

Much better than #42. Stone gets involved with a hedge fund widow, whose husband did a swan dive off their balcony. In the background is a story about art forgery, provenance, shady art dealers, NYPD's art expert, and some shenanigans in the building of the hedge fund couple. A lot of people die in this one, some even of natural causes... ( )

A very good Stone Barrington book much better than #42. The plot of stolen art is wonderful, great mystery and surprising twist. ( )

When a slam-bang of a crime brings a beautiful new client into Stone Barrington's office, little does he know his association with her will pull him into a far more serpentine mystery in the exclusive world of art. In the upscale world of New York City's luxury penthouses and grand Hamptons estates, it will take a man of Stone Barrington's careful discernment and well-honed instincts to get to the truth without ruffling the wrong feathers . . . because when it comes to priceless and irreplaceable works of art, the money and reputations at stake are worth killing for. All the Stone Barrington books I have read I have picked up from the library. Quick and Dirty started with the promise of a good story but about a 1/3 way through I got bored with the plot and sped read to the finish. ( )
