Globally bestselling author Veronica Roth returns to the world of Divergent in this revealing short-story epilogue that takes place five years after the stunning events of Allegiant. As Tobias struggles to understand and move past his fears, the world he once knew has changed beyond recognition. Fringe-dwellers, ex-faction members, Bureau dropouts, and migrants now coexist in the rebuilt streets of Chicago. It's a new, better world-one where he isn't sure how to belong. As everyone else seems to move forward, Tobias is still haunted by those who couldn't. But new connections from old friends help him begin to heal-and mend. And don't miss The Fates Divide, Veronica Roth's powerful sequel to the bestselling Carve the Mark!.… (meer)

I know it's just an epilogue, but I felt like nothing happened. I was curious about what our heroes were up to five years later and how the world around them turned out, but this didn't answer it. There were only minute glances and everything felt forced, especially the end. ( )

Absolute waste of 10 minutes of my life. There was no point in making this book like I respect Veronica alot and I loved her writing in Divergent series except for the ending of Allegeiant but now why are you trying to bring back our wounds ( )

I had missed the announcement of this final epilogue to the Divergent series completely, but don't worry, you won't miss a thing.

It's five years since the events in Allegiant (which was a ridiculous book and I'm still being kind), and I didn't have a strong desire to go back, but the completist in me wanted to have read the entire series, so here I was, reading We Can Be Mended.

And they get mended over the course of this 27 page story. I've seen a lot of people hate this story with a passion, but I'm more indifferent. I only got the slightest of information on how the world changed and what is going on now. Instead there's the rather forced coming together of two of the surviving characters from the book.

I would only recommend it for big fans of the series, and even then prepare to dislike it. ( )

Honestly when I heard Veronica was writing a short five-years-later novella in the Divergent series, I was very excited. I loved the three main books and Four as well, so I could not wait for her to write more in this series, even if it would only be a very short story. I even pre-ordered Carve the Mark, something I don't often do with books, so I could get a physical copy of this little book.

We Can Be Mended is, like I said before, a story that takes place five years after the end of Allegiant. We see lots of our favourite characters again and see what they've been up to for the past five years. It's a very short but sweet story and I really loved being back in this world. I would probably have preferred a longer story though, because this just felt a bit too short, especially near the ending.

But honestly I do no get the hate this story is getting. Sure, Tris would probably not have wanted for Four to end up with Christina, her best friend, because she wanted her to be together with Four forever but we can't have that. So I think she would have been happy for them, because that's the person she is. People can be so negative sometimes, jeez relax people. It's not the end of the world. ( )
