Trees are explained as to how they grow and their different parts compared to human growth and body parts. The trees and people in this book are all very diverse from different parts of the world. There is also a great informational section in the back of the book with all the trees illustrated throughout the book and where those trees grow. I really enjoy Debbie Miller's talks I've heard and was really excited to read her children's book and it didn't disappoint. This book explains trees in a way that kids can understand and relate to. The illustrations are also beautiful. This book is very interesting! It was not what I was expecting when I first read the title. This book's illustrations are beautiful. They use soft and warm colors, pleasing to the eye. I loved how on every page, the author relates a characteristic of a tree, to the reader! It shows children that even though trees aren't humans, they are still breathing creatures who need food and water, just like us. That is the main message the author is trying to get across. I also really loved how the back of the book features an informational section about all of the trees pictured in this book and gives a brief description of them all! A good read for youngsters! geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
