Roots è la storia autobiografica di una relazione finita, dell’inizio della ricerca delle proprie origini irlandesi e la scoperta di un nuovo amore, al di là dell’oceano.

I disegni sono molto carini e anche la storia lo è, anche se non ci troverete niente di particolarmente significativo, visto che nessuna delle riflessioni di Tara O’Connor è nuova, profonda o abbastanza rilevante da rimanere nei vostri pensieri dopo la fine della lettura. (

Definitely disjointed at times - to the point of being confusing- but overall, it was really cute. (

In the wake of a divorce, Tara O'Connor crowdfunded the creation a book about her journey to Ireland to research her family roots. Turns out she's not much of a researcher, and her travelogue/graphic diary turns into Eat Pray Love 2: Irish Boogaloo, essentially an Instagram of her eating, drinking, and getting laid as she tours the country.

It's not bad, but I just couldn't care. (

This book was fine. I adore auto-bio and enjoyed the exploration of someone else's self-discovery, but the presentation was a little lackluster, almost perfunctory, for me. Art was good - I like a good thick line. I feel like this would be a story I'd rather hear her tell me, than read about. (
