Excerpt from Foreign Crops and Markets, Vol. 19: July 22, 1929German hog prices were slightly easier for the week ended July 17, according to information cabled by Acting Agricultural Commissioner Dawson at Berlin. The average for the week at that city fell off 32 cents per 100 pounds to reach but that figure was about above the level of a year ago. Receipts of hogs at 14 markets were below the weakly figures of the past three months. The Hamburg lard market showed additional strength, with the week's average going to per 100 pounds, but still slightly below the point reached a year ago.
