Unique and lovable protagonists, and the book centers on Bella’s journey and the romance and has a great plot on top of it all. And such quality angst! (4.5 stars) ( ) It was brilliant! It was lovely. It was...yeah, all the good adjectives you could possibly think of! Dr. Warriner was such a breath of fresh air for his time (or any for that matter). He really and truly was led by his mind and as wonderful as it was, it left his heart playing catch up, and his feelings backpedaling to find the right balance at the right time. While not the suave-est of the Warriner brothers, he was the ultimate catch...not that Bella would notice. I'd say "poor Bella" because honestly, what she went through was horrible (both "the incident" and the aftermath) but in truth, she wasn't "poor" at all...simply a little lost, a lot affected by what transpired, betrayed by those that should have stood closed mouth, and ultimately vindicated. That's right, vindicated...and honestly, while she had some help in that department, if it wasn't for her own strength and merit, it still wouldn't have happened. In the end, it was a remarkable story to get lost in with characters to root for, causes to stand behind, ignorance to uproot, and people to show what's for. Most got what they deserved in the end, in one way or another, and the town as well as townspeople were better for it. Dr. Warriner and Bella truly shine on all on their own, but together...the possibilities are endless...that is if they end up together. Hey, I can't spoil it entirely for you! ^-^ **ecopy received for review A Warriner to Tempt Her is another terrific installment of Virginia Heath's The Wild Warriners. Dr. Joe is a fantastic hero and he is just perfect for Bella. Bella is a wonderful, intelligent heroine who is just perfect for Dr.Joe. Great characters, tense back story and situations make for a lively and entertaining read. This is a must read series. Just trying to write about it here, makes me want to read it again. I just love about Virginia Heath's writing style is that her books are movies that play out in my head. How does she do that? Reasons I enjoyed this book: Happily Ever After, Romantic, Wonderful characters Lady Isabella Beaumont is hiding out trying to cope with a terrible repercussions of an assault, referred to in her family as "the incident". It's left her afraid, of people, of outside of a lot of things, but she's found a mission in helping out with the sick. One of the village doctors is Dr Joseph Warriner and they find themselves working together and they're attracted but her fears are a big barrier. When crisis brings them closer they're not sure how to cope. It's a good story with solid characters. It explores the treatment of post traumatic events and how people can help each other. I have to be honest I cheered at the end. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
A shy innocent... She's wary of all men. In this The Wild Warriners story shy Lady Isabella Beaumont is perfectly happy to stay in the background and let her sister get all the attention from handsome suitors following a shocking incident. However, working with Dr Joseph Warriner to help the sick and needy pushes her closer to a man than she's ever been before. Is this a man worth trusting with her deepest desires...'
