In het begin had ik wat moeite met dit boek, maar dat komt doordat ik de namen van de personages zo lastig vindt. Russische namen, ze heten zo, maar ze noemen ze zo of soms zo. Maar toen ik er even wat langer in kon lezen lukte het gelukkig beter en kon ik ook wel genieten van het sprookjesachtige verhaal. En van de magie, heel veel magie. Met, naar ik heb begrepen, ook nog wat historisch correcte feiten die mooi in het verhaal zijn geweven. ( )
