This was an incredible book. It is the story of a nine year old boy's journey out of childhood. Chorao writes the story beautifully with the approach of a young boy, but balances the narrative with mature, well-written prose. The story is captivating: running away from home, his relationship with his friends and family, his homelife; in short, everything about this novel was interesting. I found it nearly impossible to put down-- I put it down only once so that I could drive from home to work, where I picked it up as soon as I clocked in and read straight through to the end. I definitely recommend this book! ( )
