Together, the two have become a pair that no one seems to want around, yet, they are so very important to solving mysteries. They seem to constantly be fighting against those who don’t like what they are and who don’t truly believe in his skills. I love that this means the two of them become and even tighter duo, and that they become solely focused on finding out who the Absent Man truly is.
Enright, once again, has given us a story that is filled with an excellent level of detail. I felt as though I was right with the team, as they travelled through the world and sought out the Absent Man, as well as ensuring they stop any more tragedies, such as the one with the woman’s heart. I loved that it really felt like I was a part of this brilliant story, and that level of attention the author gave the book is what made me struggle to put it down!
The characters are still brilliant. The two mains have grown even more, from he first book, keeping them interesting and great to get to know. The supporting characters helped give that feel of alienation and despise, from those around, be it the good guys or the bad. It really made the world seem tough, yet they wanted everything from Bermuda. I liked that feel, as I think it really made him who he is.
Overall, this is an absolutely brilliant read. I love the series and cannot wait to read more from Enright! ( )
