A very nicely done radio drama adaptation of Le Carre's book, with a few plot holes that the film left un-addressed repaired. ( ) The voice talents are excellent...I think they are making a deliberate effort to sound like the BBC show. But the characters seems more muddled and implausible than in the show and the intrusion of Anne into Smiley's thoughts is contrived. Perhaps it's in a great British tradition that I don't know much about. As in the show Jim Prideaux is an utterly tragic figure but, because he does't get the chance to charm us as in the show, Bill Haydon seems more evil. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
