Cold duck that dreams of warmer weather

This poetic book is about a little duck that flew north too find out that it was too soon. The ice had not melted yet and it just thought of warmer weather waiting for the rest of the flock.
I like this book because it was very repetitive and would be a great way for children to learn different sounds and descriptive words. It often uses onomatopoeia's and verbs to describe the actions of the duck.
This would be best for young children in early primary school, maybe Pre-K to 2nd grade.

The little duck thinks it's spring, but the ice on the pond tells her differently. She wishes, hopes and tries to bring spring back. All her hard work finally pays off when the ice melts and the flowers bloom.
