While I am pretty sure there is more Game of Thrones influence in this one than the author would admit, I appreciated the appeal to the western influences, sticking with the crime genre, and spiritual grounding of the worldbuilding. Austin is fun, relatable, sympathetic character and I am eager for book 2. ( ) Andre Klavan takes his skill as a suspense writer to spin this captivating yarn. The protagonist, Austin Lively a struggling screenwriter, is stuck between two realities. From his non-eventful life in L.A. to a murder suspect in a fantastical medieval realm. He must reconcile the fact that he is stuck between dual realities that will have real consequence for his life in both realities. Mr. Klavan's writing weaves a tale that will keep you interested. The audio book is well read by Michael Knowles. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
