This book consists of a conversation between a brother and sister in poem form. The brother asks his sister, the princess, one question after another. Although she does fall and scrape her knees at times when trying new things such as ice skating or soccer, she is still a winner in her mind.

I like this book because of the bright colored and well done illustrations, the conversation between the two siblings, and the positive message at the end.

The illustrations definitely represent the action of the story very well. If it weren't for the illustrations, the content of the story would be more weak. For example, when the brother asks his sister if she is going to walk on her toes everywhere, she and the dog are dressed in ballerina outfits to show standing on their toes. The dog is unhappily wearing a dress and the cat is in the air laughing at him. I thought this was a cute little detail to add to the story.

The conversation between the brother and sister keep a steady flow of one thing happening after another. I like how the sister is a balance of encouraging and bratty towards her younger brother. An example of her encouraging nature is when he asks, "Am I too short to dunk the ball?" and she responds, "With a little help, you're seven feet tall!" Whereas a bratty older sister nature is when he asks, "Do princesses put Band-Aids on their scraped knees?" and she responds with, "Princess can put them wherever they please!" The illustration shows a ton of Band-Aids attached all over the little brother's body as he feels stuck to the couch.

I enjoyed the clear, positive message shared at the end of the book. As the younger brother aspires to be sporty like his sister, she says to him, "You can do anything you set your mind to".

The main idea is not to be afraid to try something new because we can all do anything we set our mind to. ( )

This book is about how children can do anything they set their minds to and if they get bruises and scrapes...oh well. It is a part of life.

This story shows a relationship between a brother and sister. They are complete opposites. One day they decide to spend the day together and try things the other likes to do. They realize that somethings are better suited for the other instead of themselves. The illustrations were colorful. The story line would get confusing at times because they would keep switching the voices of the characters. It was hard to follow at times. ( )
