Five novels, here, set during an extended, twenty year, American Civil War. And there are zombies, mostly in Seattle though they show up elsewhere. And there's a lot of steampunk filigree--mostly dirigibles, but several of the characters are inventors.

The books are very different from each other, though there are common characters from novel to novel. Besides Seattle, there's a stretch in a Confederate hospital, another in New Orleans, a book set entirely in and near the nation's capitol, and a couple long trips by dirigible and rail.

It's a fun read.

That said, three Clockwork Century stories are missing from this collection. One's a short story; the others are novellas. It certainly seems like they can and should have been included in this package. ( )
