Lucy Comes to Stay is a story about a girl who gets a pet dog named Lucy. The story goes through all of the things that Lucy does, like eating the girl's new shoes, eating ice cream with liver flavor, and trying to drink and eat out of her bowls while laying down. At the end of the story, the girl's mother allows Lucy to sleep in the girl's bed with her at night.
