Sara Ney knows her romance. I didn't like Kip much to start with - he was a jerk - well intentioned jerk or not. Teddy was a doormat - meek and timid and unwilling to stand up for herself. But both characters grew on me pretty fast. I loved the banter between them and was chuckling at their arguments. The fluff was sickly sweet - full of feel goods and swoons. That said, there's not a lot of plot and there are very few secondary characters - although I did love Ronnie - Kip's sister who texted all the best lines. It's very much romance focused - which to be fair, is not a bad thing, just not usually the kind of thing I rate very highly. I generally like a well developed group of characters than just one couple. It was the same problem I had with Hard Pass from Ney's Trophy Boyfriend series. Still it was a very enjoyable read. 3 stars. ( )

Well. Not going to lie. This was so much fun. The NA fairies are sprinkling their magic dust all over my NA appetite right now. I smiled for a lot of this book.

There usually seems to be a maligned friendship which I do not love. Maligned "cleat chasers" too.

The conflict was really... interesting. Not sure it's the way I'd have gone, but hey. And it didn't last long.

The dialogue really makes me laugh at times. In the end this was the perfect, refreshing kind of diversion. 3.5 ( )

This author is one of my go to authors when I need a laugh or to have a feel good moment. I love how her characters have this inner snark and lack of filter. The characters always are real and relatable.

I highly recommend this or anything she writes. ( )

Beauty's only skin deep, but a good heart is everlasting. Jock Rule goes beyond the window dressing to discover the person within. Kip and Teddy are about to discover that the greatest of gifts are the ones that give a person the courage to stay true to who they are. Ney presents an empowering message in an adorably, heartwarming package. I loved it. ( )
