You familiar with the tune "Hush Little Baby?" Well, this book is almost exactly like it--only a bunny and his daddy is the main focus of the book. I did love that being a father focus; you don't see that very often in books.

David Ezra Stein, Caldecott winning illustrator, does a fantastic job at illustrating and authoring this tale. I just wanted it to be more. But it was enough.

I think it would work very well in a storytime....so I should use it when I get back to the library ;) ( )

It is springtime. Time for Baby Rabbit and its father to come out of the nest and explore the world. As they enter the garden, Little Bunny discovers new amazing and dangerous things and makes new friends.

David Ezra Stein created an adorable book : reimagining of the classic lullaby “Hush, Little Bunny”, his story is very sweet and poetic. The watercolor illustrations are soft and beautiful. I really love this book, and small children will surely enjoy it as well. ( )

I enjoyed the premise of the book, and the rhyming was excellent—as are the illustrations. It wasn’t a perfect meter, but a cute and lovely read. ( )

I love this sweetly illustrated take off of Hush Little Baby Don't Say a Word. I love that it is being sung by the Papa and he is not buying him things. Instead, Papa is showing the little bunny how to live and how he loves him! I am planning to buy this book for all the new Papas in my life. ( )
