So many dots are connected, and the story comes to a full close. So many deep, dark secrets from a traumatic past come to light, and just when we think we can’t handle another plot twist- we are delivered another plot twist.

Everyone we have fallen in love with throughout this series makes an appearance in this book, in one way or another. As their stories come to a close, we are reminded that life is messy, complicated and that humans make mistakes.

Sometimes those mistakes come as the result of trying to do the right thing. Sometimes those mistakes come as the result of selfish decisions. And sometimes, we stumble and fall.

This is a redemption story. Forgiveness. Growth. Family. It’s a story about understanding and learning to accept that the things that have hurt us in the past don’t have to hurt our future.

There is a list at the end of this book that is incredible. And those words say in my heart in such a significant way. Kiersten truly outdid herself with this series. She showcased how incredibly dynamic her talent is, how dark can intermix with the light. This is a devastatingly beautiful story.

Twists and turns and insane plot twists are just the tip of this powerful series. I devoured these books in two days. I could not stop reading if I wanted to, which I didn’t. Strap in and hold on- this series is about to mess up everything. ( )

Holy Hannah! I did NOT see that coming!! I can't tell you the amount of times I audibly gasped during this read!! In true Modglin fashion, I was kept guessing and was totally shocked at the ending!

I never, and I mean, NEVER, saw this ending coming! While the other books in this series are stand-alones, this one is not. It needs to be read as the finale or you'll spoil everything!! I am so sad to see this series end, but I am ecstatic to see what Ms. Modglin has in store for us next!!! ( )
