Squirrel Girl vs. shape-shifting aliens; also, a quiz-obsessed villain. 3/4 (Good). It's funny enough that I like it, but there's nothing worth mentioning other than jokes. The main story is not great, and the single-issue story is bad. Derek Charm's art contributes so little that it might as well be a Dinosaurs Comic. If it weren't for the fact that there are only two volumes left in the series, this would probably be the point where I start thinking about giving up. (May 2022) When someone pretending to be Squirrel Girl "dies", rather than revealing herself to be alive Doreen goes undercover to figure out who was pretending to be her and why they faked her death. Plus a one-off issue that sees Doreen facing off against Ms. Quizzler to save Nancy and Peter Parker. Plenty of Squirrel Girl fun as usual. It's also fun that we got much more story with her and Tony teaming up as they riff off each other well. Recommended for fans of the series. This volume begins with the funeral of Squirrel Girl, with Doreen in attendance in disguise. Not actually being dead, she decides to remain undercover in order to investigate who the impostor is that faked her death. After some corny confrontations with Tony Stark, it is revealed that a refugee Skrull girl is behind it all. I'm only familiar with the Skrulls from the Captain Marvel movie, so it seems that they always turn out to be good despite being feared and mistrusted. Nevertheless it's another good story. The final issue is not as brilliant as its two predecessors but more of filler as Nancy and Peter Parker are in danger as the villain Ms. Quizzler terrorizes everyone with trivia questions. I like the art better, though. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe

I always enjoy reading these. Squirrel Girl is honestly the only superhero I have any real interest in following in comics form. ( )
