Ivor is the latest story from popular children's author and illustrator, Raymond Briggs. Ivor is the story of an invisible giant who comes to live with John and his family. The giant is mischevious and teases John, refusing to tell him its name or let him measure it to find out how big it is. Sometimes the giant is helpful, but often it becomes childish and naughty and in the end life becomes impossible for John and he asks it to leave. This is when the giant reveals its secret.... Ivor has all the charm of Raymond Briggs' previous books, but for the first time the animation precedes the book. The half-hour film will be shown over the Christmas period and will be in a jewel in Channel 4's Christmas crown. It has all the elements that children expect of Briggs, strong characters, beautiful illustration, and above all, an element of subversity. Geen bibliotheekbeschrijvingen gevonden. |
