Travel down the Mississippi River day by day encountering the people and history that exist along the river itself. An education of the tales of today and years past. A wonderful education for children. ( ) This book is all about the Mississippi River and all the cities that you go through when riding down the river. It talks about all the places you would see and all the stuff that was on the land that was close to the river. It was very interesting to see all the different places that you would pass through if you went down the river from top to bottom. This book is about the Mississippi River and it details how many states it runs through. It goes by each day of the week and it starts on Monday. Every day has 2 states that explains the culture of each place. The book states that the river runs through ten states. The illustrations are very bright which relate to each location. Monday on the Mississippi would be beneficial for a child who wanted to learn more about geography. 3rd or 4th graders would most likely enjoy this book because there are some bigger words that many young children would not understand. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
