My mind says Hell no. My body says Yes please. My heart says You've really done it this time. Emma Ward thinks I'm still hung up on him? Please. Who would want that chiseled body? Those broad shoulders? Those strong hands shredding my clothes and exploring every inch... Not me. I got my shallow infatuation out of my system and learned my lesson. I should be lusting after someone who enjoys the same things I do. Someone who's read a poem or seen a play. Someone who actually thinks more than one night ahead. Not some gorgeous, alpha jock who runs a watering hole and loves to make me blush. It's frustrating that he thinks just because he's handsome and a college football legend that women should be lining up to spend a night with him. It's even more frustrating that part of me wants to cut to the front of the line. Underneath Ward's attitude, and despite his teasing, there's something that keeps me coming back for more. And it's not just the fact that I work for him. Ward Before that last tackle ended my NFL career ten years too early, I spent a very memorable, very drunk night with my sister's friend Emma. Now she's working in my bar, and I'm suddenly questioning my commitment to non-commitment. Emma's too smart for a guy like me, and she knows it. Yet as stuck-up as this girl is, she does something to me. She challenges me in ways I didn't know I wanted to be challenged. Aside from the fact she thinks she hates me, the odds are stacked high against us. Not only is Emma my sister's BFF, but she's looking for "prince charming". After my ex-fiancée ripped my heart out, I'm not the guy for happily ever after. These days, I'm the guy you call for a happy, no-strings long weekend. If that wasn't enough, Emma's creep of an ex just moved to town. Now that she's my employee, I'm playing with matches, but I need her under me in more ways than one. Whatever is happening between us is about to ignite. Even if we both get burned, Emma's a temptation I just can't resist. And while she won't admit it, she wants me just as much as I want her. Admit You Want Me is a full-length standalone enemies-to-lovers romance featuring a bold alpha hero who's about to meet his match in a feisty, smart-mouthed heroine. HEA/No cheating.… (meer)

SENSUALITY RATING: Yes PROFANITY; Yes SEXUAL ENCOUNTERS; Yes Euphemistic "CODE WORDS
GENRE: Modern day romance
CENTRAL FEMALE CHARACTER: – EMMA – bashful; unsure of herself; introvert; easily embarrased
CENTRAL MALE CHARACTER: WARD WILLIAMS - Non relationship type of guy; protective where one woman it concerned
SYNOPSIS: She was committed to her academic future and was working on her PhD. But, a snag stopped her from completing her studies. He was a retired NFL football player; forced out of the game by an injury. Two totally unlikely people meet. Written in first tense with each chapter switching back and forth between main characters.
WHAT I LIKED: Bashfulness out of the window with a few drinks .
WHAT I DID NOT LIKE: I hate the word “p…y” and it does not mix with using Lord’s name in vain so why put Got in it.
RATING: (3 ) stars BECAUSE well written and an interesting plot of how can one show interest without fear of rejection. But, a bit too risqué for my taste. I will not move on to the next book. ( )

Prologue. Emma “Come on, Emma!” Kate cried, banging on my bedroom door for the fifth or sixth time. “You can’t hide in there forever. I’m sure you look fine. People are going to be here soon.”

Ward thought about it for a second and then smirked. "Ok. Good point. You know what? I'm not doing to say anything. I'm just going to ignore it and enjoy our party. Let's let them figure it out on their own." He grabbed us a pair of champagne flutes and we toasted to it. Champagne tasted a lot better when I didn't have to serve it.
EPILOGUE: "Hey there, stalker", a familiar, humor-filled voice called to me. Cole had found me. He approached down the shadowy hallways, causing my heart beat to race with a suicide mixture of feelings I couldn't even try to identify. "If I didn't know better, I would have thought you weren't happy to see me again."
