I hadn't realized it was a short story (or novella).
I found it an interesting allegory about tribalism still affecting the middle east today. (

This is the first book I think I've read from Kipling. It is a quick read based on historical fact with adventure, well built characters, light comedy, audacious plans, and colonisation. (
