My Review: You know how it's always the civil wars with the most casualties? You know why that is? Family hates with more passion than any other enemy. And Victor the Assassin has just taken a job to kill one sibling at the behest of another. (They're criminals. Don't stress.)

You don't often find series novels based around an amoral assassin that are simply unputdownable. This is one, though the pinnacle is still Tom Ripley. We're not up that high. But the story being told, with all its rage-fueled violence, is really shockingly...moral! The right things happen to the proper victims, the best thing that could ever happen being the end of this feud between crime-boss sisters and it does.

In a very unexpected way. Lots of fun to read, perfect for the beach, and written with a deftness that renders the experience invisible and effortless. (But *really* violent...so much so I was squicked a time or two, which is why it's not a higher rating.) ( )

Another Christmas, another Colgan book that I have ripped through in record speed. The sadness mixed with joy was hard to read at times (especially since one of the characters in my Korean drama had just realised he had a brain tumor and epilepsy, and is going to have to give up his dream of being a neurosurgeon - life is indeed hard!!), but as always was not outside the realms of real life.

The story of Colton and Fintan comes to a head, as does that of Flora and Joel, although Saif and Lorna keep you guessing till the end! It highlights the need for family, friends and community when things get tough, and that no man is an island. It also made me want to live on Mure...

The real sadness is that I have finished the book...roll on next Christmas so I can re-read it! ( )

I jumped into the middle of this series with book five. That book was an instant hit with me and since than, I can't get enough of Victor. When I get my hands on the latest book in this series, I can't read the book fast enough. Mr. Wood is one of my favorite authors. If you are a fan of a strong, male lead, great storylines, and plenty of kick ass action than, you need not look any further then this series. So pack your passport and strap in for the ride of your life!

Victor is the "Bryan Mills" of this series. You can't go wrong with this. If Victor is hunting you down and you live to tell about it. That is only because he let you survive. Additionally, beware a sister's scorn. Sisters, Maria and Heloise are two women that you don't want to piss off. They will slit your throat without blinking an eye.

As I said before, I can't read these books fast enough. There was so much action and killing happening but don't worry as the only thing you will get lost in is the story. In the end, Victor made have some out with some wear and tear but nothing that will keep him down for too long. Kill for Me punches you in the teeth will taking you on a roller coaster ride of action packed intensity! ( )
