This sample of first issues for six different titles also seems to show that Marvel is trying to reset the whole X-Men franchise to its prime, during the Chris Claremont 1980s era, back when I first started reading X-Men. So it's actually not bad. I just find that I really don't care anymore about the hundreds of leading characters for all these many books, and X-Men as a brand does not excite me at this point in time. Slow going, and very a first chapter, in the way where I was chomping at the bit wondering what all is being set up, given to us in the slow hinting reveals, for all the next chapters. (
