Mischief and the Marquess by Sylvia Day
Justin, the Marquess of Fontaine, and Lady Sophie Milton-Riley are completely ill-suited to one another. But they will have to prove it in order to end their mothers' insistence that they should marry. Yet the more they attempt to demonstrate how wrong their union would be, the more surprisingly, irresistibly right things feel . . .

THE DUKE'S TREASURE by Minerva Spencer
Plain, prickly Josephine Loman has loved Beaumont Halliwell, the Fifth Duke of Wroxton, since the first time she saw him. But the most beautiful man she's ever met had eyes only for Jo's erstwhile friend, who betrayed Beau's trust by marrying his brother. Beau hasn't been home in years, but when his brother dies in an accident, he must marry to save the impoverished dukedom. And Jo is the overlooked heiress who will turn his world upside down . . .

THE INCONVENIENT COUNTESS by Kristin Vayden
As the eldest in a poverty-stricken family of daughters, Miss Diana Katherine Lambson's only option is a marriage of convenience. Her only prospect is a rogue with a miserable reputation. Her only true desire: freedom. And that is exactly what Charles Brook, Earl of Barrington, is willing to offer, in return for the respectability their union will give him. He will even provide Diana with a contract. But does she dare entrust her future to a scoundrel? Does she dare not to?… (meer)

Mischief and the Marquess by Sylvia Day

The Duke's Treasure by Minerva Spencer
God, WHAT a missed angst opportunity! It had all the right elements! Plain spinster heroine! Secret unrequited love! The hero completely overlooks her! Regency Regina George! Secret pact with the heiress’s father! This should have easily ended up a 4 star read. Instead, the heroine is pathetically forgiving of the hero’s complete lack of effort to woo her and defying all logic, she is just brazenly confident in their relationship because... they bone a lot I guess? Zero angst. I’m so disappointed. (2 stars)

The Inconvenient Countess by Kristin Vayden

Thanks to Netgalley and Kensington Books for this e-ARC in return for my honest review.

An interesting collection of 3 historical romance from 3 different authors. Upon seeing Sylvia Day's name, I would have expected the hardcore kinda novella so I wasn't surprised reading it. However, the onset and the sex just didn't quite clicked for me. Minerva's was so modern that I forgot it's supposed to be historical romance. LOL! Both Sylvia's and Minerva's would sound good under modern premise. I've liked Kristin's novella best! So on point and entertaining! Loved it from the start to the end!

Overall, it has the same plot where the Duke was forced to marry the unintended bride, eventually both fell in love and lived happily ever after. All has the same epilogue where the duchess is pregnant and the duke is happily in love LOL! So if you are looking for a light read, this is the one.

Like most compilations, this is a bit of a mixed bag. Mischief and the Marquess was the best, in my opinion, with likable characters and lots of heat. The other two stories, The Duke's Treasure and The Inconvenient Countess both suffered from the format; both were have been much better expanded into a separate novel. The novella-length didn't give either story enough of a chance to develop the characters or the plots. Still, a quick read and nice overall historical romance compilation. ( )

I requested this book because I have become a big fan of Kristin Vayden, I like Sylvia Day and Minerva Spencer too but honestly I requested this three for one book/s because of her because even though I probably would have requested anyway, but honestly because of her and I have to say she saved it for me. I am going to say that I found it to just have too much sex, yup I said OH my! is she a prude, hell to the no, however that being said it just had some unnecessary scenes that could have been avoided and actually they could have dedicated that time and space getting to some more answers.. Yes you can pass the time and you will enjoy it, dont get me wrong I did but again Kristen saved the day for me..

rcvd an ARC at no cost to author... (netgalley) voluntarily reviewed with my own thoughts and opinions. ( )

I received an ARC of this book to read through NetGalley in exchange for a fair review. The Arrangement is a trilogy of historical romance novellas that includes Mischief and the Marquess by Sylvia Day, The Duke’s Treasure by Minirva Spencer and The Inconvenient Countess by Kristin Vayden. This was a delightful collection to read with a second chance at love and two marriage of convenience stories. I enjoyed reading this book very much as all the stories were well written and if I had a complaint it would be I wish there was more that the stories were longer. Medium Steam.
