LiteraryGadd | Jan 16, 2023 |   I had the privilege of reading an amazing book! The Book of Rosy: A Mother's Story of Separation at the Border by Rosayra Pablo Cruz and Julie Schwietart Callazo. This is the true story of a woman who took a huge risk (twice) to get to this country in hopes of having a better life. Her story is amazing, heart wrenching, frustrating, appalling, hopeful, scary and sad. It is told from two perspectives, one by Rosy herself and one by Julie.... Julie started a fundraising campaign to post bond money to free these women who were seeking asylum in this country. No matter what your stand is on immigration, I implore you to read this book.
