There were a ton of characters smashed into one book and the plot was too busy and frantic for my likings. Plus, for a book in the Civil War imprint, it didn't deal much with the overall story arc of registration. Cyclops fans will like this one, though, plenty of him. ( ) Even though this trade is a tie-in to the Civil War event, there's not much to do with the Civil War in this trade. The X-Men, now under Cyclops' leadership, have decided to remain neutral in the war of the superheroes, which they don't really see as concerning them. Instead, they're focusing on getting back on their feet after the Decimation, in which all but 198 mutants lost their powers. The 198 are put in harm's way when Shatterstar and Domino break them out of captivity (they've been under Sentinel guard for a while now). Bishop is trying to track them down, and four of the X-Men (Cyclops, Iceman, Angel, and Beast) want to find the 198 before Bishop (and, consequently, the US government) does. The story was okay; it was very middle of the road when it came to holding my interest. The art was similarly okay, but nothing spectacular. And, though Captain America and Iron Man (the leaders of the two opposing sides of the Civil War) do make appearances here, they don't really do much to try to win the X-Men over to their respective side. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe

Enough is enough! The tension between the X-Men, the 198 and the O*N*E* has finally reached a breaking point. As Civil War rips apart the Marvel Universe, the X-Men also find themselves crumbling from the inside out. Will they admit defeat, or will they finally start to fight back?
