If I can cook from this one, anyone can! Got it for the Keema recipe and have been making all sorts of other items in it off & on. I don't cook much, but when I do this is the cookbook I reach for. ( )

Although not the most lavishly illustrated Indian cookbook - though there are some gorgeous photos - it presents exactly what the name suggests. Good background info on ingredients and methods for beginners and a representative selection of good recipes. Recipes are accompanied by tips to ease preparation. What's more, the recipes actually work and can be readily reproduced without investing a fortune in terribly exotic ingredients and equipment. A terrific Indian cookbook for everyday use. ( )
