I owe my friend one favor: bail his little sister out of jail. It's been nearly fifteen years since I've seen the shy, computer genius with big glasses. If my memory is correct, Addie Johnson is sorta cute and hella smart. But that's not the woman sitting behind the bars. And I can't simply bail her out of jail. The gorgeous woman hardly resembles the cute kid I remember. And instead of going back to her home in California, she's is released into my custody for the next two weeks, staying in my hometown in Georgia, living with my parents until her court date. Despite an effort to keep my distance, I can't. She's driving me absolutely insane. I've been duped by a woman before. So, when the attraction flares between us, pushing away is my knee-jerk response. She's 100% off limits. First, she has a boyfriend, although a crappy one she needs to dump. Second, I'll get fired. Third...let's just say the first two won't matter because her brother will kill me. But I can't back away this time. I know Addie didn't commit the crime, but that's not what bothering me. How did she end up like this? Because although she is trying to play the part of a ditzy, dumb female only interested in men and clothes, trying to make the rest of the world skip over her intelligence, I know what's underneath. I remember the "old" Addie. And she's hiding something. This is a Romantic Comedy between a computer genius, hiding her nocturnal hacking career from everyone, and a brooding sheriff, who makes even his ugly tan uniform look good. Hiding from the Sheriff is a fun, flirty contemporary romance and the first of six books in the A Southern Kind of Love series by Georgia native and award-winning author, Palmer Jones. *This was formerly titled Hiding Hollywood 5-Star Amazon Review - "Engaging characters, great dialogue, and an entertaining story of two people in a small Georgia town. Looking forward to the next book in this series." 5-Star Goodreads Review- "Great writing style, so easy and light to read. Two cute and sexy characters with awesome chemistry and a happily ever after, sometimes that's actually all you need and that's exactly what Addie and Cam brought to the table." 5- Star Goodreads Review- "I enjoy reading romance stories with a plot, dialogue and a unique storyline. They all have the happily ever after ending but the trials the characters go through makes it a good read." 5- Star Goodreads Review- "Mystery, romance and comedy. Definitely will recommend it for a quick romantic read that will keep you on your toes" A Southern Kind of Love Series: 1. Hiding from the Sheriff 2. Falling for Her Client 3. Dreaming of Her Movie Star 4. Engaging with Her Enemy 5. Kissing Her Rescuer 6. Finding Her Leading Man (available March 2020) O'Keeley's Irish Pub Series: 1. Her Irish Boss 2. Her Irish Chef 3. Her Irish Flirt… (meer)
