One wonderful side effect of the success of Chaosium's Call of Cthulhu roleplaying game has been Robert M Price's anthologies of mythos fiction. This collection is the single most comprehensive collection of Psycho author Robert Bloch's Lovecraftian fiction, most of it written as a juvenile correspondent of the great man himself. The stories are sometimes great, and always interesting. Prices introductions and notes are arguably more interesting, though -- he takes pulp fiction seriously and his insight and knowledge are impressive. ( )
