The story starts with a little girl talking to herself about how she likes herself in every way, no matter what she does or how she looks. It does not matter if she walks slow or fast or if her hair looks messy; she likes her every bit. It does not matter what others think or if they call her names and make fun of her; she thinks she will always appreciate how she is. We picked this book for the title and fun cover. With some adult help, this book will help young children stay confident about themselves and understand and appreciate the people around them. The illustrations are fun and colorful and will keep its young readers happy. I Like Myself! by Karen Beaumont is a quirkily illustrated rhyming book that will help young readers to build an abundance of self-love. I am a huge fan of Karen Beaumont, and when put together with David Catrow perfection can be attained. I love that Catrow chose to make a POC the title character. I love how the author talks about being perfect as long as you like yourself, it doesn't matter what others say. Pure Perfection. #Wintergames #teamreadnosereindeer +16 geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
