I would've gone to a four if we hadn't had quite as much push and pull in between Raven and Gunnar. I like the idea of the push and pull between the two of them, but I just think it went on a little too long. Other than that, I think that it was a good book. I like both characters. Gunnar is a strong man who just wants to make sure that everyone in his MC is safe. Raven is very smart, and wants what he wants. I think the pair of them are a force to be reckoned with when they are together. I can't wait to see what happens next. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe

I liked seeing the relationship develop in this book. I thought Gunnar and Raven made a really interesting pair and their individual skill sets made it a good combination of two pretty different people. I will admit, I was not super interested in Gunnar's backstory but that was a really small part of this book overall so it didn't hinder my enjoyment. I was very interested in Raven's story of growing up inside the club and I wish we had some more of that. I also wanted more scenes with Priest really acting like he was Ravens father because I thought that relationship could have been really interesting.
The plot of this book was probably the main reason I liked this book a little bit less. I still found it really interesting but I still wanted a bit more action from this book. You would think that a book with an enforcer character would have lots of action but he was pretty absent from the action in the first part of the book and there wasn't too much else beyond the big conclusion. It was still more than enough to keep me engaged, I just wanted a little more.
I'll probably pick up the third book soon. This series is just really hitting the sport for me right now and I really need a fast paced book to distract me from all the school work I have! ( )
