I started this thinking it was going to be an enemies to lovers romance. It was that and so much more! I had read a few blurbs commenting on how amusing this book is. I thought: yeah right, no one can keep the humour going strong all the way through a hot romance without toning down the sexiness. I was wrong. K.M. Neubold had me in stitches throughout ‘Nailed’. Stone’s neighbourly pranks and mixed up expressions made me laugh so hard it hurt. Rudy the dog was too adorable for words! They should sell this book at animal shelters. Dare reminded me of baked Alaska. Hot on the outside, gooey on the inside. The love scenes with him and Stone were scorching hot! Hold on to your goats! This is one heck of a book. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe

Stone moves in to a house and his neighbour hates him, so Stone does whatever he can to annoy said neighbour. They have a couple of hot hate hookups, and then discover that maybe they can become friends. Dare has anger issues, and most of it relates to the fact that he had to fight for what he has. When he misconstrues what Stone said while he was moving in, Dare has no use for the man. If only his dog would stop going to visit.
This is the 3rd time that I've read this book, and I didn't really like Stone this time around. The other times, I kind of laughed it off, but Stone was an asshole of epic proportions toward Dare. I honestly don't care if the guy was cold to you, the things that he did were not a response of a functioning adult, but rather a teenage boy. I'm not saying that Dare was a saint, because he was also a jackass, but he didn't go out of his way to make someone else miserable. So, I guess that maybe they deserved each other? I don't know. I think that Dare should've held out for better. I did like the relationship that both of them had with West. And the dogs were cute. ( )
