There is just something about her characters that speak to me. However, this book took me a bit to warm up to compared to some of her other books. I won't lie and say that this book was perfect. It wasn't. In fact, up until this book hit around 36%, I wasn't even sure this hero could be likable. His disparaging remarks about Sailor and her looks infuriated me. However, something happened and this author made me finally start to see him in a new light. Once started seeing him from Sailor's eyes and began to see what made him tick it all clicked. And Sailor, yeah, I should have known that a child of Sparrow and Troy would be a force of nature. I loved how the author gave some great moments of introspection. There were some great scenes and lines in this book. I, now, will also never look at butterflies the same way, or lobsters for that matter. Great set-up for the remaining stories of the Boston series. I hope to all that is good and right that Cillian gets a story because there is something about that man... There was a special chemistry between Hunter and Sailor. The banter between them was brilliantly executed. Read this if you are looking for a happy book to keep you entertained on a cold night.
