This is a collection of Robert Louis Stevenson’s travel essays. He visits the United States, France, and of course Scotland, and makes observations about the people and places he encounters. I wanted to be interested in this book, but it was a struggle to stay focused. You can certainly try this book if it interests you, but it’s not one I personally will return to or hang on to, for that matter. HTML: Although he is now best remembered for rip-roaring adventure novels like Treasure Island, Kidnapped, and The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Robert Louis Stevenson was a well-regarded travel writer during his lifetime. In Across the Plains, Stevenson recounts his experiences traveling in the United States in a series of fascinating and detailed essays. .Geen bibliotheekbeschrijvingen gevonden. |
