Princess Paragon, chosen child of an enlightened Matriarchal society from deepest Outer Space, has come to Earth to spread her message of peace and hope to humanity.
Brian Parrish wants to cement his name in comics history and he believes the world is ready for a queer superhero. Princess Paragon is a perfect fit. His editor assigns him underground lesbian cartoonist Perpetrial Cotton for authenticity and success seems certain.
Little to Brian and Perpetrial know there's a true fan, Jerome T. Kornacker, straight out of 'Confederacy of Dunces' that aims to stop this perverted scheme in its tracks.
This book is a relic of its time, but it was so much fun. It's not often I find an intersection of my interests in superhero comics and gay literature. Some of the humor and stereotypes really don't age well, but Rodi goes in several different directions than what I expected, too. If you're a fan of the 90s, splashy New York gay culture and superheroes and fandom you owe it to yourself to give this a try. I for one wanted to read the complete book that Brian and Perpetrial put together. ( )
