One rainy night, the unthinkable happens: Dylan Moran's car plunges off the road into a raging river, his beautiful wife drowning as he struggles to shore. In the aftermath, through his grief, Dylan experiences sudden, strange visions: wherever he goes, he's haunted by glimpses of himself. Dylan initially chalks it up to trauma, but that changes when he runs into a psychiatrist who claims he's her patient. She says he has been undergoing a unique hypnotherapy treatment built on the idea that with every choice, he creates an infinite number of parallel universes.… (meer)

Just when you think this plot can’t get more convoluted, it proves you wrong!
Wild ride, well written and fun!!! ( )

A really fast read. It was more sci-fi than thriller too me. A man is living in a parallel universe and keeps seeing himself in his life. I think it could have been better if there was more of a twist at the end. ( )

Set in Chicago, this sci-fi thriller introduces us to the MANY WORLDS, MANY MINDS theory from quantum mechanics in physics that suggests there could be an infinite number of parallel worlds in which we all exist. Although we are a different version of ourselves in each world, we are similar. When Dylan Moran's car sinks in the rushing waters of a river—swallowed up by torrential flooding—he loses his wife, Karly, and his sanity. Suddenly a stranger in a familiar world, Dylan, is pitted against his evil self. From there, the author takes the reader on a roller-coaster ride through the Many Worlds, each with its version of Dylan's life. The plot is expertly crafted, complicated, and very suspenseful. Just when I thought I had the plot figured out, the story would take another stunning twist. I was glued to this book right up until the surprising conclusion. ( )

A 5 star start. But then it just becomes unbelievable. And, I’m dropping stars. What is this? A quantum science fiction thriller? Too many convenient coincidences, too many scientific holes, too little Einstein—too much that’s just hard to take seriously.

But then, right near the end, there’s a clever shift and I see where he was heading all along. A satisfactory wrapping up that kinda makes sense. Sort of. 3 stars then. ( )
