Things keep meandering gently toward romance. Protagonist Yuki is just so adorable, but I worry that her weirdly aloof crush sees her more as a puppy dog or child than an equal. ( )

After trying to figure out what her true feelings for Itsuomi are, Yuki has decided it is love. After hanging out in a laundromat watching the snowfall, their relationship deepens. But Yuki has a hard time figuring out how they will continue a relationship when Itsuomi leaves on trips for weeks at a time.

This volume definitely picks up more than the first and I enjoyed it much better than the first one. The romance is totally a slow, slow burn, but it’s interesting how their relationship is unfolding and for that - I am hooked on seeing where it goes. Still don’t know how I actually feel about Itsuomi personally, but I’m in it for Yuki.

Out of everything in this that was making me smile, I was crestfallen to learn that none of Yuki’s family learned sign language for her. It happens a lot and it’s so unfair and disrespectful…

Still pretty excited to read the next volume! ( )

My heart! This series is so cute, and I love how Yuki and Itsuomi’s relationship is blossoming. Love-interest #2 dude, either do something or get out the doggone way lol! Itsuomi's probably an easy guy to fall for or whatever, but he makes an EFFORT with Yuki. He’s nice to everyone, but he’s extra special nice to her. Because you know he’s feeling her (at least I think so). In this volume, Yuki has lunch/dinner at Itsu’s house and it’s so intimate.

Even though this series doesn’t aim to educate, it was an interesting tidbit that Yuki commented families with a deaf member/child don’t always use sign language. In her own family, she relied more so on texting or writing things down or vocalizing.
