Only issue was that Tap had created a reputation as a dangerous gunman. Once they had a crew and participation by other ranchers, they started off but soon had to fight off local gunmen who turned out to be easy to defeat. When the a joint force of Comancheros and Comanches attack them, they lose some men plus the whole herd of stock.
